3 STEPS TO SETTING GOALS

[su_dropcap style=”simple” size=”5″]G[/su_dropcap]oals are incredibly important! Wouldn’t you agree? They help us progress and grow. They make it possible for us to gauge success. All that said, I like to think that I’m organized and that I’m constantly setting and reaching my goals, but when I’m really honest with myself, I still have a little ways to go.

It’s hard to admit I’m not where I want to be at something that I want to be so much better at. I’ve been reading and researching and I’ve come up with 3 steps for setting goals (and reaching them) a bit better…

ONE: BE CLEAR // When you’re creating your plans and goals, make sure they’re really clear and that you are always moving toward your bigger goals. Think about where you want to be in the future. Make sure your smaller goals are helping you solve the major problems that you’re trying to fix.

TWO: BE CAREFUL // Plan big, but don’t plan too big. It’s good to keep your goals big enough to challenge yourself, but you don’t want to set yourself up for failure either. Make sure that they are reasonable and that you’ll be able to accomplish them before you get discouraged and stop trying.

THREE: BE PREPARED // Make the plan. Write it down. Schedule it in. After you’ve decided on the goals, figure out how you’re really going to go about reaching them. Break them down into smaller step and sometimes you’ll even need to break those steps down again. The goal is to accomplish the goal, you follow?
